"He was born in Senigallia, where he is still living, on October the 14th 1966.
In 1991, he obtains a degree on sociology with honours at Urbino's University with a dissertation on the history of photography "Il gruppo Misa a Senigallia" and at the same time he begins his photographic activity.
In 1990 Lorenzo Cicconi Massi wins a national prize; after that he decides to complete and to study in depth his serial research without participating at any exhibition or competition.
During this time he writes and directs radio programmes playing the role of a funny character.
In 1987-1990, he writes, directs and plays his first short film followed by others created for television and school.
He moves into the United States 1992 to continue his photographic research. Here he realizes many music videos and adverts.
He has written, shot and self-produced the short movie " Il Tetto ", that was selected at the Séns Festival in France. For a while, he even helds cinema courses in high schools.
At the same time his photographs are exhibited at the "Studio Marangoni Foundation" in Florence, moreover he gets chosen with his series "I campi e le strade per giocare" for the final selection of the competition "Pépinière européennes pour jeunes artistes" in Paris. Here he wins the AGFA international b/w competition. In 1999 he achieves the Italian CANON prize for best photographic portfolio.
Mario Giacomelli, Denis Curti, Olivo Barbieri and journalist-director Maurizio Liverani they have all been writing about his works.
Today he divides himself between cinema and photography. He's beginning to shoot a feature film with a screenplay he wrote by himself. His photographic attention is now concentrate on portraits of people close to him.
