 ”Still best known as music photographer, Guido Harari achieved his international reputation over the years as official photographer for such artists as Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, BB King, Pat Meteney, Lou Reed, Santana, Simple Minds, Michael Nyman, Ute Lemper, David Crosby, Dire Straits, Andrea Bocelli, M° Riccardo Muti and La Scala Philarmonic Orchestra.

Album covers, promo sessions, tour photography, editorial and advertising, Harari has done it all and topped his twenty year long career with a retrospective book-with exhibition in 91/92, ” Goodbyes & Hellos”.

A series of exhibitions (Rockshots in 83/84 had music especially provided for the occasion by Peter Gabriel and David Sylvian) then culminated in Harari's work for Simple Minds being included in the prestigious show ”the art of selling songs” at London's Victoria and Albert Museum (‘91)

A new exhibition project will be launched in New York in May 2000.

The show called ”Italians” will feature an impressive gallery of more than a hundred internationally acclaimed Italian celebrities of every domain, including Luciano Pavarotti, Gianni Agnelli, Bernardo Bertolucci, Giorgio Armani, Andrea Bocelli, Roberto Benigni, Ennio Morricone and many others.

Among several books, Harari has published a photojournalistic essay on English mime and dancer Lindsay Kemp (‘82) and a huge seller on Italian No.1 singer Claudio Baglioni (”Notti di note”, ‘85, 100.000 copies). Also Harari ‘s interest in theatre and dance led him to collaborate over the years with a wide variety of artists, most notably with Daniel Ezralow of Momix fame.

In the 90s Harari also successfully moved on to advertising photography and reportage.”
